DI Nattys Day 4

The last day of the DI Nattys started out with the Distance Event of the 1500, both Women and Men, and in the Men's 1500 was a loaded field of my buddies like, John Simons, Patrick McGregor, Robby Creese, Jeremy Rae, Riley Masters, Patrick Casey, Austin Mudd, Andy Bayer and Mac Fleet. The announcers, who don't know distance events said that the 1500 was going out slow like a race walk and Mac Fleet in the ack of the pack but when the last lap and the bell sounded Mac throught it was his time to go and went from the back of the pack to winning the 1500 in a time of 3:50.25. This year of #Comeback2013 it went to Mac Fleet. Necxt event on the track was the Women's Steeplechase with my #SteeplechaseTeamMate, Emma Coburn and she lead the Steeplechase from the get go and no one could get near her and she won the Steeplechase easily with a time of 9:35.36 and that was her PR by about 10 seconds. The last distance event on the track was the Men's 5K and it was a loaded field with a lot of my buddies. Too many to named and there was one name, that won the 10K, that lead the whole 5K race from the start, Lawi Lalang. Lawi won the hardest double on the track, I don't care what the sprinters say, 5K & 10K are the hardest double ever on the track.

DI Nattys Day 1, 2, & 3

This blog is about the first three day of DI Nattys. The first two days were all about semi-finals for all the distance events but two events that did have finals were The Women's 10K and Men's 10K where Lawi Lalang won the 10K.

On the third day the finals of the distance events started with the Men's 800 with Orgeon's Own Elijah Greer and Penn State's Casimir Loxsom, who was tring to get his first DI Nattys 800 win. Greer is my #OregonTakeOver bro and I was ulling for Casimir and Elijah to go 1-2 and that is what happened with Greer winning the 800 in 1:46.58 in his final meet as a college distance runner. Also in 2nd & 3rd place were 2 Penn State istance Runner Casmir Loxsom in 2nd & Brannon Kidder in 3rd for 14 points for The Penn State Guys. Next up on the track was the men's steeplechase with my buddies Henry Lelei, Robby Nierman, Jared Bassett & Aric Van Halen. Cause we are steeplechase teammate I was pulling for the great distance name in track Aric VanHalen cause we are coached by the same coach, Coach Yelawolf aka Billy Nelson. I was wrong and it looked like Henry Lelei was going to win the Steeplechase but he fell in the Water Pit on his last Water Pit jump so he got 2nd place and I am still proud of him. Also, a fun fact for you about the Men's Steeplechase is that Colordao's Aric VanHalen's dad is Alex VanHalen & his uncle is Eddie VanHalen from the rock group VanHalen that is so cool but it is more amazing that Aric is my Steeplechase TeamMate. The last distance event on the track was the Women's 5K with one of my friends Jordan Hasay, who I was pulling for the win, and she looked like she was going to win but she got 3rd place with Abby D'Agostino winning the 5K. With the last day coming up they had the Women's & Men's 1500 & Men's 5K coming up for the Distance Events

Pre Classic, Day 2

On Saturday it was the second day of Pre Classic, one of the greatest track meet ever next to The Olympocs and Olympic Trials. The first great race was the Women's 5K cause one of my favorite female distance runner and celebrity crush Shannon Rowbury was in the race and even thougn she wasn't at the front of the race I am so proud of her and Alex Pappas was one of the rabbits. Alex is the one who wears different singlet but cool singlet like a spider-man singlet and she is one of a kind. Then the Steeplechase was up with The Dancing Man Kemboi and American Record Holder Evan Jager. The race was an interesting one cause at the last 100 meters Kemboi & Kipruio has a wold finish cause Kemboi was in the wrong lane, laane 2 , and then pushes Kipruio off the track. Kemboi was DQ'd and that made everyone go up a place so that means Evan Jager, who was 5th place, ended up 4th place. Women's 1500 was up next and I though this was a fast 1500 with two amazing women distance runner's Shiela Reid & Treniere Moser and this was just the first hour of Pre Classic that was on NBC Sports Network.

The Second Hour & A Half was on NBC and the first distance event was Women's 800 with Alysia Montano, Brenda Martinez & Mary Cain three amazing women distance runners. After this race it was Cainasity cause Mary Cain got under 2 mins, 1:59 and got a HS & JR Record in the 800 with Brenda Martinez getting 2nd place. Also, after the Women's 800 the greatest moment in sports happened Alysia , who is know for here flower in the hair, gave here flower to Mary Cain. The next event was the Men's 5K and it was part of the last three distance races. I call this the Oregon Distance Project 5K cause Galen Rupp, Ritz & Mo Farah  from Oregon Distance Project were in the race and I thought it was going to a repeat of the Olympic with Mo Farah, 1st place, & Galen Rupp, 2nd place, but I was wrong. The Next race of three distance races was Men's 800 with my bro for life Nick Symmonds and if you dodn't know I have Nick Symmond's autograph tattooed on me and he got 3rd place with Duane Solomon also in that race. The last race was The Bowerman Mile, the BIG race at Pre Classic, and the down side to this race was that the Gold and Silver Medalist from the Olympic didn't do so hot. Leo Did Not Finish and Makhloufi got 11th place but on the other hand it was a fast race.

The last 4 race of Outdoor Track Season

This blog is about my last 3 Outdoor Track Races With Carroll Outdoor Track Conference Meet

Madison Open Meet
At the Madison Open Meet I ran the first of my last 3 5K of the season in a row and I got to run with a few Madison Badger guys and ever time they passed me I feel like I push myself harder than I ever have in a 5K. My final time was 19:35. At the meet my 5K wasn't the best event of the meet cause it was the Men's Steeplechase cause it was Neal Berman Steeple Debut and before his Steeple Debut Neal only trained for the Steeple that week and didn't practice the water barrier so ,you know something might be up when Neal jump his first water barrier. When Neal jumped his first Water Barrier he fell into the Water Pit cause he jumped the Water Pit like the other barrier. You are to jump the Water Barrier with one foot on the barrier, one foot in the water and the other foot that was on the barrier on ground over the water.

UW-La Crosse Ealge Open Meet
In this meet I ran my 2nd 5K in row where I raced in my Kansas Signed Signlet and Maroon Half Tight from Tom Linner and this was my best 5K race of the year and I got a time of 19:33

DIII Midwest Conferenc Championship
This is a meet that I didn't race in but I was a coach and the reason I am blogging about this is cause my Lil' Bro Jay Sparks ran his last 5K in his college career. Jay did something that nobody has ever done, he put my name on his leg as you can see in the pic above. We have a Brother relationship like no other and I cried when Jay fnish the 5K race

Augustana Twilight Meet
My last meet of the Outdoor Track Season was the Augustana Twilight Meet and Augustana is about 3-3:30 hours away from The Milwaukee Area. I ran my 3rd 5K in a row in three weeks and got my season pr of 19:32 and I ran against three guys from Augustana, The Smith Brothers

Pre Classic: Distance Night

Last night was the first of two days of The Pre Classic, The Distance Night, and it went off without a hatch. What a minute there was a hatch in the name of Runnerspace, cause they were having problems with there website so people, like me, could see about half the the race on Runnerspace. Fisrt was the 1500 and I just wanted it after my workout this morning I got to say I am proud of bro for life, J.Mac & The Stached One Acosta in the 1500 but I think J.Mac could passed by the guy to get 2nd place easily. Then came the Women's National 800 where Phoebe Wright easily won the race. Then The Men's International Mile was up with The American getting 4th, 5th, & 6th place-Will Leer, Andrew Wheating & a bearded David Torrence in that order. Then the last even and it was a big one, Men's 10Kwith Bekele in the 10K. I know a lot of you people think that the 10K is boring cause it is too long and too many laps but you guys are WRONG. Bekele won the 10K and beat the World Leader's Record time. The time was 27:21 and now it is 27:12, Bekele beat it but about 9 second that was amazing race to watch. Now onto the 2nd day of Pre Classic, bring it on
